Year 3

welcome!

Welcome to Key Stage Two! In Year Three we aim to allow children to make a smooth transition from KS1 by building on what they have learnt in their subjects and understood about the world around them in previous years. Teachers support children with their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development while, providing a well-rounded curriculum. In Maths children begin to explore written method of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Writing has great emphasis on narrative skills such as speech, organising information and proof-reading work to check for accuracy. In reading children take more ownership of their learning and begin to analyse author’s choices in writing, themes in narrative and the contrast between fiction and non-fiction texts.
School Hours:

Homework for other broader curriculum subjects such as History, Art and RE will be set via Class Dojo/Teams.

Submission for Home Learning Projects and competition entries can be sent to your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo/Teams.
